Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. The 'Moving Day' lived up to expectations as the game ebbed and flowed to leave us with all four results possible with two days remaining in the Test. Considering England's 'Bazball' approach it will not be a surprise if the Test does not go into the fifth day and we get the result on Day 4 itself. On the other hand England will fancy their chances of chasing this mountain of a target going into Day 4. On Day 3 it was all set up by James Anderson in the first half hour before the spinners came to the fore to not let the game drift away from them. Although the visitors lost Ben Duckett before the close of the play and there are doubts over Joe Root's participation due to a finger injury England have ample firepower in the shed to get the remaining 332 runs. The first hour will be pivotal and could heavily influence the outcome of the Test. Who will blink first on Day 4? India's outing on Day 3 was headlined by Shubman Gill but the rest of the batting unit's performances left a lot to be desired. At one stage in the game on the third day they looked to be on course to take their lead over 400 but a bizarre passage of play after Tea saw their innings meander and eventually they were bowled out setting England a target of 399. The hosts have the runs on the board but will still be wary of England's ability to pull off big chases. Given their efforts with the ball in the first inning Rohit Sharma and his men start as slight favourites to win the Test from here more so with the surface expected to deteriorate. India's centurion of the second inning Shubman is in for a chat. He says that it was a good effort today but they could gotten more runs on the board. He talks about the early LBW review going his favour which gave him confidence. He mentions that wicket an easy one bat as the odd ball is keeping some them turning sharp. He ends saying that his father comes to watch most games he actually feels good when he is there watching. When asked about the situation of the game he responds by saying that it still looks 70-30 in favour of India but England have batting to chase. As they head into Day 3 India holds a commanding lead of 171 runs putting the pressure squarely on England's shoulders. England will need to strike early and consistently if they harbour hopes of clawing their way back into contention. At the close of Day 2 it's advantage India as they continue to assert their authority in this enthralling Test encounter. India's star with the ball Bumrah is in for a chat. He says he enjoyed his spell and he is very happy to get the reward. mentions that reverse swing plays an important role in India and it is important to learn how to use it. Adds that he has grown up watching reverse swing setups and he is very happy that he was able to execute them. Feels that it is important to be patient and set the batter up with good deliveries. Ends by saying that he avoids looking at numbers because it adds pressure. The day began with India resuming their innings with just 4 wickets in hand with Jaiswal and Ashwin at the crease. However England claimed the early advantage in the first session swiftly wrapping up the Indian tail and restricting them to a manageable total. Yet again it was the lethal duo of Crawley and Duckett from the English side who provided a solid start to their team's innings with Crawley particularly shining with a brilliant knock of 76 runs off just 78 balls. While a few English batters managed to get starts they were unable to capitalize falling victim to some unplayable deliveries from the relentless Jasprit Bumrah. Bumrah's fiery spell saw him scalp six crucial wickets bringing up his 150th Test wicket for India and dismantling the heart of England's middle order. Adding to the bowling prowess Kuldeep also made significant contributions claiming three vital wickets and forming a potent partnership with Bumrah to trouble the English batters who were bowled out by India inside of two sessions. As the sun sets on Day 2 of the Second Test between India and England it's India who once again finds themselves in a commanding position in this series. With their second innings underway India stands at 28/0 after 5 overs holding a substantial first-innings lead of 171 runs. It has been a day dominated by the brilliance of Jasprit Bumrah and the Indian team as they stamped their authority on proceedings. It is advantage for the hosts but they found themselves in a similar situation after Day 2 in Hyderabad and nobody needs reminding how that one ended. Five times in fact since 2000. But only the great Australian team of 2004 had the legs to see an early lead to a series win. That's how hard it is to keep throwing punches in these conditions without copping them back with interest. Even in this decade of impregnability India have found ways to overturn early deficits. In Bengaluru they produced a clinic in attractional bowling. Four years later in Chennai they went the other way and raged on a raging turner. Both put 42 between them before Jaiswal flicked one straight to Pope at short leg to fall on 15. There is enough assistance to the spinners and England can still hope of defending this total. They will have to bowl consistent lines and lengths in the evening session to create chances. England on the other hand have been pretty solid with their tactics but they did let it slip in the last half an hour of the session. Tom Hartley seems to have let go of all the jitters from the first innings and bowled brilliantly as he picked all three wickets. Jack Leach also bowled a few overs and looked good but they still need to keep their focus and look to take wickets as the runs will keep on coming sooner or later. the Test match is nicely poised at the moment where both the teams have a chance to emerge victorious. India still needs 136 runs to win and England needs 7 wickets before that. Time is no factor in this match as there is one full day left tomorrow. The Final session of the day is coming up which is definitely going to keep all of us on the edge of our seats as this session can determine where the result is going to fall on this 1sy Test of this series between England and India. Joe Root did bowl well in patches but Ben Stokes would have liked a bit more from him. Axar who has been sent up the top order has done a fine job as well. Session Summary: 29 overs 95 runs and 3 wickets. Another riveting session of Test cricket has gone by and at the end of it India still need 136 runs to win with 7 wickets in hand. England looked to be in control of that session for a long time but India have managed to pull it back nicely with an unbeaten stand of 32 runs between KL Rahul and Axar Patel. For India it wasn't the best of starts as Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill both fell in the same over in the first half an hour or so and then the skipper was also undone by Tom Hartley. Rahul though ha taken his form from the first innings and hasn't let that dropped catch of Ollie Pope bother him too much. Chasing 231 the Indian openers were quite watchful unlike the first innings. Rohit was dropped on 5 but he batted more positive than Jaiswal. Hartley who was taken to the cleaners in his opening spell in the first dig bowled beautifully.
